About The Position

The Sensors Division specializes in the development of advanced sensor systems, with a particular focus on airborne and surface-based radar, space-based sensing, electronic warfare, and underwater acoustics. This position is within the Space Missions and Sensing (SMS) Sector of the Sensors Division. In this sector, we develop and deliver technology to advance space-based sensing, space control, and counter-sensing missions. The SMS Sector is seeking a multi-disciplined integration engineer to perform software development, integration and test activities in a Research & Development environment. In this role, you will be an integral part of a team developing a cutting-edge space-based radar system. Your responsibilities will include the development of operational and test software, working with test hardware, participation in system integration & test activities/satellite operations, and data analysis. Requirements

  • Active Security Clearance at the Secret level, for which U.S citizenship is needed by the U.S government
  • Strong experience working in a Linux environment
  • Demonstrated experience with Python/C/C++ (or other high level programming languages) to build real-time/near-real time systems
  • Experience in preparing and delivering briefings, familiarity with the execution of technical reviews
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of applicable experience; Master’s degree and at least 3 years of applicable experience; or PhD. Equivalent experience will be considered

Nice To Haves

  • Active clearance at the Top Secret (TS) level
  • Applicable understanding of and experience with Radar systems and their principles of design, development, requirements verification, test planning, test execution, and data analysis
  • Extensive experience with lab electronics and RF test equipment (power supplies, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc)

Responsibilities

  • Develop software to support both our operational system as well as our test infrastructure
  • Working with RF test hardware that supports our integration/test activities
  • Support satellite data collection operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and/or develop system requirements and specifications
  • Conduct performance analysis through simulations and real-world testing to validate system performance
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders to convey technical concepts and project updates
  • Prepare documentation, design specifications, test plans, and reports
