Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in aeronautical, mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering.
  • 10 years combined experience in developmental and systems engineering, program management, and DoD acquisition.
  • Knowledge of air defense, missile, and radar systems.
  • Understand systems engineering concepts, particularly integration of diverse sensors, command and control, and communications systems into a coherent, fused sight picture for the warfighter.
  • Ability to work with internal and external organizations to build partnerships for delivering warfighter capability.
  • Ability to organize and chair meetings to harmonize the efforts of a distributed team.
  • Ability to organize and prepare comprehensive technical and management reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal skills to support interaction with a diverse team of Government and contractor personnel.

Nice To Haves

  • Subject matter expert-level knowledge of air defense, missile, and radar systems.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Missile Defense Agency program office developing advanced integrated air and missile technologies for the warfighter.
  • Leads identification, development, and integration of future Integrated Air and Missile Defense efforts including sensors, command and control systems, and communications.
  • Works with warfighters to understand and develop system requirements.
  • Conducts research and engineering to develop capabilities to meet warfighter needs.
  • Leads or participates in integrated product teams, working groups, and other meetings.
  • Provides MDA senior leadership with knowledge of possible programmatic impacts, risk, mitigation, and opportunity options.
  • Serves as a liaison with multiple MDA programs to ensure synergy of effort.
  • Works with program security to ensure appropriate protection of emergent technology.
