About The Position

Enterprise Knowledge (EK) is currently hiring for a creative and experienced Instructional Systems Designer to join our growing ISD team within the Technology Solutions Practice. In this role, you will analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate web-based learning systems for a range of commercial and federal clients. In the past, our Technology Solutions Team has architected and implemented the following: A world-class learning ecosystem for the National Park Service, which connects the diverse NPS workforce with educational resources and Communities of Practice. A pedagogy for National Park Services to leverage their learning ecosystems by using effective content modeling to service online self-serve, classroom, and blended learning to a non-homogenous group. Currently working with a global payments processing company to define a compartmentalized content model to allow for content reuse and customizations of all training documentation. This work includes working with Ontologists and Taxonomists to ensure content models are in alignment with clear content searchability by both learners and the training content authors. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, or related field (required)
  • Minimum of 7- 10 years of experience in the design, development, and implementation of learning systems
  • Manage all functions of the SAMs model including but not limited to: Training and Learning Systems Evaluations, Developing and Managing Evaluation and Measurement Plans, Training Program and Curriculum Design, Development and Delivery Life cycle
  • Demonstrated experience applying instructional design principles and adult learning theories/models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to develop training materials
  • Demonstrated experience developing multiple training design projects simultaneously
  • 5 years or more of experience designing products that are Section 508 compliant
  • Proficient in the use of relevant software including MS Office and Adobe products such as Storyline, Captivate, Premier, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Audition, etc.
  • Experience working in a deadline driven technology production environment
  • Exceptional presentation, communication (both verbal and written), facilitation and consensus-building skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a fast paced agile development environment
  • Expertise designing a wide variety of web-based multimedia training applications.
  • Ability to create visually appealing informative graphics, screen layouts, etc.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, XML and xAPI; knowledge of related technologies (JavaScript, CSS, etc.) helpful
  • Experience in mobile instructional design

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders to design, develop and implement learning systems
  • Use the SAM’s model and innovative and immersive learning methodologies in curriculum design and development
  • Ensure overall integrity of the learning design and content
  • Learn multiple systems and processes quickly and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Partner with client project leads, stakeholders and SMEs to monitor completion, comprehension, and retention of the content deployed to identify content effectiveness, as well as continuous improvement opportunities and lessons learned
  • Apply your knowledge of current standards and best practices in instructional design.
  • Assist Project Manager in meeting deadlines, maintaining schedules, identifying and communicating risks early in the project and help to ensure the project stays within scope.
  • Possess excellent grammar and writing proficiency
