Senior Install Technician
About The Position
The Senior Install Technician is responsible for the installation of audio, video, electronic communications, and presentation systems equipment, including cabling and terminations, for customers. This role involves collaborating with Design Engineers and Project Managers to lead and execute the planning, integration, testing, and customer acceptance phases of assigned projects, ensuring completion within specified time and budget constraints. The technician will also conduct on-site surveys to identify and resolve any issues or requirements, and must be able to interpret various project documentation such as system flow diagrams, elevations, detail plan drawings, and schedules to ensure accurate installation.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the service or installation of audio, video, and/or audiovisual and presentation systems
- An aptitude to read and understand building construction blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Ability to work independently, be self-directed and interact with fellow employees and customers in a professional manner is a must
- Communication, leadership and customer relation skills
Nice To Haves
- Training in electronics and basic computer literacy skills, either through education, on-the-job experience or certification
- AVIXA CTS or CTS-I Certification
Responsibilities
- Provide customers the installation of audio, video, electronic communications, presentation systems equipment, cabling and terminations
- Collaborate with Design Engineers, and Project Managers to lead and complete the planning, integration, testing, and customer acceptance of the assigned project within the time and budget parameters of the project
- Conduct on-site surveys and resolve any needs or problems
- Interpret project documentation (system flow diagrams, elevations, detail plan drawings and schedules) and ensure installation is completed as documented
