About The Position

STV is seeking a Senior Inspector for our Transportation Northeast department in Hartford, CT Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and verifying contractor submissions. Oversee and manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, daily reports, and change orders. Assist in coordinating project schedules, tracking progress, and maintaining accurate records of construction activities. Support field inspection teams by providing technical assistance, resolving issues, and ensuring adherence to project requirements. Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and agency representatives, to facilitate project success. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience or NICET Level 3 with 6 years of experience in construction engineering and inspection. Experience on transportation infrastructure projects preferred. Strong understanding of CTDOT CEI processes, contract administration, and construction documentation. Ability to perform complex quantity and engineering computations. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Valid driver’s license and ability to work on-site as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of COMPASS and AASHTOWare Project NETTCP – Concrete Inspector, NETTCP – HMA Paving Inspector, and ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor certifications. Professional Engineer License. Compensation Range: $71,988.00 - $95,984.00 Don’t meet every single requirement? Requirements
