GFT is seeking a Senior Inspector to join our Construction Services team in Marlton, NJ. This position requires regular attendance throughout the South region of New Jersey. What you’ll be challenged to do: As a Senior Inspector, you will help ensure quality, safety, and compliance while representing GFT and our client across active construction sites. Your work will play a direct role in delivering roadway improvements that communities rely on every day, from safer travel to stronger infrastructure that supports growth across New Jersey. In this role, you will be at the center of construction activity, applying your experience to guide quality work in the field, solve problems as they arise, and help move projects forward. Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of 15 years of construction inspection experience, with strong experience on NJDOT roadway and paving projects.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to project sites.
  • Experience with NJDOT inspection procedures, specifications, and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection and quality assurance oversight on NJDOT roadway and paving projects.
  • Monitor contractor work activities including asphalt paving, roadway construction, and related infrastructure improvements.
  • Complete daily inspection reports that document work progress, materials, and compliance with contract requirements.
  • Review construction activities to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and NJDOT standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors, project managers, and client representatives to address field conditions and maintain project quality.
  • Represent the client and GFT at project sites, maintaining professional communication and field presence.
  • Remain onsite during contractor operations to verify approved procedures and construction practices are followed.
