We are looking for an entrepreneurial leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and embraces risk while pursuing innovation and driving the business forward. The ideal candidate will possess a spirit of discovery, curiosity for learning, be comfortable with ambiguity and be comfortable with the unknown. This person will have extensive Asia Factory experience understanding technical processes, foam creations, and excel in building relationships with our Asia partners. They will also excel in working in the white space, and finding opportunities to fill consumer gaps while leveraging their expertise and detailed approach to creating impactful runner solutions. This candidate will have a history of charting paths less followed, wanting to grow, learn and push boundaries and be comfortable with calculated risk. They work well in all stages of the product creation process-conception and experimentation, rapid prototyping, building testing plans and bringing innovation to commercialization. This individual will inspire confidence and understand how to influence others, enabling strong cross functional collaborative relationships across all organizational levels. Above all, entrepreneurial leadership is about driving a process, taking ownership, creating meaningful frameworks, driving results, and leaving a legacy for the Brand. Team Collaboration: This person will partner closely with the Inline product creation team, Asia Factory partners, as well as Sports Marketing and Athletes. They will bring a positive attitude and align to the Altra’s culture and values. Concept Validation: This person will work off calendar to define new product spaces and test and learn, while developing testing protocols with a Innovation weartest partner, and establishing the scope needed to prove and validate new product concepts. Nurturing Innovation: This individual will enable teams to explore new Methods of and performance-based solutions that align to Altra’s unique position in the market. Relationship Building: This person will foster strong connections across a highly matrixed organization. Execution Excellence: This individual will excel in bringing concepts and turning them into actionable products all while traversing ambiguity, and finding ways to overcome roadblocks in your path.

Requirements

  • Tolerance for Ambiguity: Demonstrated ability to perform well in less defined environments, and make clear, confident decisions when faced with multiple paths to follow.
  • Hands-On and Ownership-Oriented: Have an Owner’s mindset. A proactive leader who wants to own the framework, initiatives and decisions while working closely with cross functional teams to ensure outcomes align with consumer and business goals.
  • Visionary Thinking: Ability to see beyond conventional approaches, identifying distinctly Altra opportunities to innovate and create industry changing solutions.
  • Clear Communication: Proven ability to inspire confidence and influence key stakeholders through clear communication, while bringing the teams along so collaboration is evident across all levels.
  • Resourceful Problem Solver: A history of developing new processes, products, or processes from the ground up, comfortable starting with nothing and building to the future.
  • Strong organization skills and a proven Technical leader.
