About The Position

Senior Innovation AI Developers are technical leaders responsible for defining AI strategy, architecture, and best practices across multiple projects. They drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and translating business problems into AI-powered software solutions for industrial environments. This role serves as the technical authority for complex systems spanning edge, embedded, and cloud. Senior AI Developers shape team direction, mentor developers, lead cross-functional initiatives, and represent Denali externally. They champion operational efficiency by establishing AI-assisted development practices and building automation frameworks.

Requirements

  • 5-8+ years in AI/software development with a track record of technical leadership and shipped production systems
  • Expert in Python; proficient in C++, Go, Rust, Java
  • Deep expertise in architecture, system design, and distributed systems
  • Expert in DevOps, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes
  • Expert across PyTorch/TensorFlow with production ML experience
  • Deep expertise in 3+ AI domains: CV, NLP/LLMs, VLMs, generative AI
  • Expert in agentic AI architectures and multi-agent frameworks
  • Expert in edge AI: Jetson, industrial IPCs, embedded platforms
  • Deep model optimization: quantization, TensorRT, OpenVINO
  • Experience with industrial protocols (OPC-UA, MQTT), PLCs
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen
  • Executive communication skills
  • Hiring and team building experience
  • Bachelor's required. Master's or PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Define AI architecture and technical standards for complex multi-component systems
  • Make build vs. buy decisions for AI infrastructure and tooling
  • Design systems for scalability, reliability, and offline/edge operation
  • Lead technical due diligence on vendors and emerging technologies
  • Drive R&D initiatives aligned with business strategy
  • Translate business problems into AI solution approaches
  • Represent Denali at conferences and build external reputation
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives involving multiple teams
  • Mentor developers at all levels in technical and career growth
  • Lead hiring efforts and drive engineering culture improvements
  • Partner with customers to co-develop solutions for industrial use cases
  • Present to executive leadership and external stakeholders
  • Lead high-stakes customer demonstrations and pilot deployments
