About The Position

Shape the tools that shape better sight You arrive at our Manufacturing Facility in Houston, TX before sunrise on Tuesday. At 4:00am CST, you scan overnight production data from our four molding suites, then roll up your sleeves. A precision mold needs a quick teardown; another tool calls for polishing to ±0.0002” fit; a hot runner awaits a basic repair. By mid-morning, you’ve verified critical process parameters, recorded measurements, and coached a tech on a complex setup. After lunch, you isolate a stubborn defect for further analysis, adjust an optical gauge, and sign off on documentation to GxP standards. Before you go at 2:30pm, you’ve improved uptime, shared know-how, and kept our patients’ needs in sharp focus. That’s a day in the life of a Senior Injection Mold Toolmaker at Alcon—part of our Engineering function, the team that elevates quality, processes, products, packaging, and materials to deliver brilliant outcomes worldwide.
