Senior Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Engineer
About The Position
Wells Fargo is seeking a Infrastructure Engineer who overs jobs which design, build, enhance, and integrate the technology infrastructure required to support various platforms and Wells Fargo's business portfolio. In this role, you will: Lead or participate in high level technical concepts spanning technology and business Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems, design and test solutions Contribute to the testing of business, application and technical infrastructure requirements Drive solutions to reduce recovery Review and analyze solutions for cloud security, secrets management and key rotations Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices Design complex system upgrades Resolve troublesome trends as they develop Develop a long range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Requirements
- 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or Ansible
- 2+ years of experience applying GitOps principles and working with tools such as ArgoCD or Flux
- 2+ years of experience designing, consuming, or integrating RESTful APIs as part of infrastructure automation with languages such as Go, C#, Java, or Python
- 1+ years of experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to Crossplane or other control plane abstraction technologies
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling
- Experience supporting cloud-native application platforms or platform engineering initiatives
- Experience working with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack
- Understanding of security best practices in cloud and infrastructure automation contexts
- A strong engineering mindset with attention to code quality, maintainability, and automation
