About The Position

This position is contingent upon successful contract award. Prevailance is seeking a highly experienced Senior Information Systems Architect to support the planning, engineering, implementation, and modernization of wide-area communications and satellite-based network systems. This role requires deep expertise in Satellite Communications ( SATCOM ) architecture, RF/IF communications, commercial and tactical communications integration, and system-level engineering. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience configuring and troubleshooting multi-layer communications networks, activating and monitoring terminals, and producing detailed engineering documentation to support operational and commercial transition requirements. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Support planning, design, implementation, and optimization of wide-area communications networks and enterprise architecture solutions Provide expert-level technical support for FDMA, TDMA, UHF TACSAT, GBS, and a broad range of SATCOM networks Configure networks, activate and monitor remote terminals, and resolve SATCOM-related incidents involving baseband, IF, and RF layers Employ the Joint Integrated SATCOM Tool to submit, track, and analyze Satellite Access Requests and Gateway Access coordination Monitor and maintain a variety of network and transmission systems, including routers, servers, switches, microwave, and fiber-based systems Support engineering and commercialization efforts for deployed communication systems using COTS equipment and multi-technology network components Develop detailed engineering diagrams that capture system-level and operational-level views Execute robust engineering change management and ensure system documentation remains accurate and current Provide technical expertise to ensure communications systems are properly integrated, reliable, and aligned with operational requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in network configuration, system monitoring, SATCOM terminal activation, and RF/IF communications troubleshooting
  • Experience employing and analyzing Satellite Access and Gateway Access through the Joint Integrated SATCOM Tool (JIST)
  • Hands-on experience with routers, switches, servers, microwave transmission, and fiber-based communications systems
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)
  • DoD IAT Level II or Security+ certification
  • Possesses Top Secret Clearance ( SCI preferred ) Secret may be acceptable depending on mission needs

  • Senior-level experience supporting complex SATCOM and network engineering environments
  • Deep understanding of FDMA, TDMA, UHF TACSAT, GBS , and related satellite communications systems
  • Skilled in multi-layer troubleshooting and resolving communications incidents
  • Capable of producing detailed system and operational diagrams
  • Experienced in engineering change management and supporting commercialization of deployed systems
  • Proficient in the Joint Integrated SATCOM Tool for satellite and gateway access coordination
