About The Position

Brown and Caldwell is seeking an Industrial Water Engineer with knowledge of wastewater engineering and experience to evaluate, plan, and design industrial water and wastewater treatment infrastructure. This position will primarily support Brown and Caldwell's Energy Market Area team, but there will also be opportunities to support Brown and Caldwell's other industrial markets. Requirements

• B.S. in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, etc.) or related field required.
• M.S. degree is preferred.
• PE license preferred.
• 10 years or more of experience.
• Refinery wastewater experience is a plus but not required.
• Project management and/or design management experience is a plus but not required.
• High level of Emotional Intelligence.
• Can-do approach - Pragmatic and enthusiastic - Proactive.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Capable of understanding and applying technologies commonly used in this sector.
• Demonstrated team player and builder.
• Demonstrates expert critical thinking, accountability, collaboration, communication, self-discipline, self-development, conflict resolution and adaptability/flexibility skills.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Refinery wastewater experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct wastewater alternatives evaluations.
• Develop design calculations for selected wastewater treatment processes.
• Work with project teams to develop industrial wastewater designs.
• Provide project quality assurance and quality control.
• Provide technical support to sales tasks for treatment facilities and process improvements.
• Interface with engineering disciplines, departments, and other offices to develop and deliver a seamless design for a full functioning system.
• Preparation of engineering reports, technical memoranda, and specifications.
• Manage field investigation activities, including collection of (water and wastewater) samples for field and laboratory analysis, and compilation of operational data at municipal and industrial facilities.
• Deliver the BC experience to employees by providing guidance and coaching to junior staff and ensuring timely/meaningful feedback is given to support career development and progression.
• Build and sustain a collaborative culture and environment that truly demonstrates client service, technology, innovation, professionalism, and teamwork.
• Lead and contribute to the firm's marketing, sales and overall business success.
• Provide consultation in specialized areas to make decisions and solve problems.
