About The Position

The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Industrial Security Specialist to join the team in Arlington, VA. Proven security professional with extensive experience in security risk assessment and compliance of security programs. The specialist will conduct program security assessments to evaluate compliance with law, policy, and internal controls. The specialist will conduct trend analysis and monitor progress of corrective action plans. Analysis will also support risk assessments across the ECS enterprise. Additionally, the specialist will provide input to Long Range Business Plans to inform financial planning for ECS activities dedicated toward reducing risk and achieving compliance standards. The specialist will be the ECS focal point for audits and will support internal investigations. Travel is required.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years
  • 10+ years of experience in government security programs
  • 10+ years of experience in personnel security administration, physical security, communications security and/or other programmatic security-related field
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and/or Special Access Program (SAP) access
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, and outlook)
  • Experience with oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to obtain a successful US government polygraph examination

Responsibilities

  • Executes Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
  • Identifies deficiencies, develops and implements corrective action
  • Conducts Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
  • Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures
  • Develops, implements and administers security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on large and/or highly complex programs
  • Contributes to enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) (e.g., participates in the review cycle and decision making process for enterprise export compliance, procedures (PROs), Business Process Instructions (BPI's) and Desktop Instructions (DI's)
  • Provides innovation and creativity into Personnel Security (e.g., reduce cycle time) to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for complex customer requirements
  • Provides innovation and creativity into security awareness training and education program (briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information
  • Completes tasks toward long-range goals and objectives
  • Oversees Sub-Contractor Management (e.g., providing contractual requirements and direction, site assistance visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements
