About The Position

Our Central Region Environmental business is looking for a Senior Industrial / Occupational Hygienist in Golden, CO, with strong technical depth and proven leadership experience to support complex environmental and health projects across our Central Region. This role is suited for someone who can provide subject‑matter expertise in industrial hygiene and environmental risk management, lead and develop teams, manage client relationships, and translate complex regulatory and technical information into practical, defensible solutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level
  • Wide and deep experience providing expert competence (Over 10 years to 15 years)
  • Experience of supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes (13 months to 3 years)

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and review performance against health, safety, and environment (HSE) key performance indicators (KPIs) and patterns of behavior within the area of responsibility. Take action to improve performance and to resolve noncompliance with the organization's HSE policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects while reporting to senior colleagues.
  • Manage important client relationships with guidance from senior colleagues, or oversee relationship management with a group of more transactional clients and customers.
  • Use the organization's formal development framework to identify the team's individual development needs. Plan and implement actions, including continuing professional development specified by professional or regulatory institutions, to build their professional capabilities. Provide informal training or coaching to others throughout the organization in own area of expertise to enable others to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
  • Act as subject matter expert in an area of technology, policy, regulation, or operational management for the team. Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging external regulation and industry best practices through continuing professional development, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
  • Participate in and contribute to a community of practice in a defined area of expertise or consulting to build own capability and develop innovative practice among colleagues.
  • Document complex "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required.
  • Collate and conduct analysis of the tactical and operational information gathered through interviews and research to support the diagnosis of underlying client issues and problems and the design of single solutions.
  • Oversee the environmental risk management processes, ensuring the organization's operations have minimal detrimental impact on the environment.
  • Identify and evaluate complex, expertise-led solutions against a range of criteria to find the ones that best meet business needs.
  • Coordinate specific elements of environmental impact assessments with guidance from senior colleagues.
  • Guide an operational area in the creation and implementation of highly complex climate adaptation strategies for vital or large-scale projects, preempting potential climate risks.
  • Gather information and resources, draft and complete proposals, and fulfill all process requirements (in terms of deadlines, documentation, etc.) in response to complex bid solicitations, request for proposal, and request for tender to create the best chance of being awarded the contract.
