About The Position

Power up production at Tempel, a Worthington Steel company Step into a role where your electrical and controls expertise keeps stamping presses and annealing furnaces running at peak performance. This position is approximately 90% electrical/controls work with a heavy emphasis on Allen Bradley PLC‑5 troubleshooting. 1st Shift | 6:00am–2:00pm | $3000 Sign-on Bonus A day in the life Decode ladder logic and interpret detailed electrical drawings to pinpoint issues quickly. Isolate and repair faults across 480V motor control circuits, power distribution, and industrial drives. Investigate machine alarms/fault messages and coordinate corrective actions to minimize downtime. Verify component health by measuring continuity, voltage, and resistance to validate your diagnosis. Systems and assets you’ll support High-tonnage stamping presses and heat‑treat/annealing furnaces AC/DC drives, VFDs, and servo motion platforms Overhead cranes and associated controls Hydraulic and pneumatic controls and interfaces 480V motor control centers and circuits

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance in heavy manufacturing environments
  • Proven Allen Bradley PLC‑5 troubleshooting capability
  • Fluency in ladder logic and reading electrical prints
  • Hands‑on experience with drives, motor controls, and automation systems
  • Comfort working around large equipment and production lines
  • Programmable logic controllers: 5 years (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Rockwell legacy platforms, hydraulics/pneumatics knowledge, and a journeyman credential.
