About The Position

The Senior Impact Manager leads efforts to strengthen the United Way Family Resource Center (FRC) Network, ensuring family-driven programming, partnerships, and engagement. This role supports the network director, lead agency and Parent Advisory Committees (PACs) in identifying resource gaps and expanding services for families. Key responsibilities include coordinating community and corporate partnerships, managing designated budgets, overseeing network outreach and event communication, and ensuring alignment with the Protective Factors Framework and NFSN Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening and Support. Additionally, this role provides contract oversight, ensures program compliance, and collaborates across departments to enhance the network's impact. This position plays a critical role in strengthening the Family Resource Center Network's infrastructure, driving sustainable impact and lasting community change.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred in social work, Health & Human Services, Public Policy, nonprofit management or related field.
  • Five years or more experience in program management, community engagement, nonprofit leadership, or a related field.
  • Experience in Family Resource Centers or similar community-based initiatives preferred.
  • Strong background in cross-sector collaboration with government agencies, nonprofits, corporate partners, and community organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale initiatives.
  • Strategic leadership of collective impact efforts.
  • Experience in working effectively in multicultural environments.
  • Staff and volunteer management experience.
  • Budget and fiscal management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the lead agency and Parent Advisory Committees (PAC) in identifying and addressing resource gaps.
  • Support the Network Director in providing oversight of the third-party evaluator for the Family Resource Center Network.
  • Support the lead agency in developing and enhancing relationships with community partners.
  • Assist the lead agency in the development, implementation, and monitoring of an outreach plan.
  • Lead the development, maintenance, and communication of network-wide events.
  • Manage the Family Resource Center basic needs process and budget line item.
  • Support the Director in the acquisition, expansion, and development of new FRC locations.
  • Perform other duties needed to help drive the success of the FRC Network.
  • Support the Network Director to ensure strategic engagement of corporate partners.
  • Document key conversations and project interactions in United Way's customer management database.
  • Recognized as the Subject-Matter Expert on equitable community change.
  • Oversee and manage designated budget allocations.
  • Participates as a champion, project lead, and/or member of organizational teams.
  • Stay informed on best practices in Family Resource Center models.
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating network and practitioner meetings.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all schools, parents, and residents.
  • Promote various initiatives through social media sharing and recruitment.
  • Conduct aggressive outreach initiatives to promote the FRC Initiative.
  • Establish a Community of Practice of frontline staff providing direct service.
  • Lead cross-impact council/cross-impact grant and cross-departmental initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with UWSA Impact Managers in the development of departmental initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the UWSA marketing and media team.
  • Serve as staff point of contact for communications.
  • Assist Strategic Initiatives leader with planning and meeting facilitation.
  • Monitor and evaluate monthly reports and follow up with partners.
  • Provide on-site support at the various Family Resource Centers.
  • Lead annual Partnership Agreement/Grant Compliance process.
