About The Position

Senior Immigration Paralegal Adler Pelzer Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Immigration Paralegal to manage and process employment-based immigration matters for our U.S. operations. This role will support a multi-site manufacturing environment and work closely with HR, leadership, and external counsel to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective visa processing. The Senior Immigration Paralegal will play a key role in transitioning immigration work from external counsel to an internal function, improving efficiency, reducing legal costs, and enhancing visibility into immigration status and risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Paralegal Studies, HR, Business, or related field preferred)
  • 3–7+ years of employment-based immigration experience at Law firm or in-house corporate immigration experience strongly preferred
  • Experience handling high-volume, multi-site immigration programs
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and drive initiatives with minimal oversight
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Strong knowledge of: USCIS processes and forms, Nonimmigrant and immigrant visa categories, PERM recruitment and filing process
  • Experience with immigration case management systems and tracking tools (Excel-based systems acceptable)

Nice To Haves

  • Paralegal certification (ABA-approved program preferred)
  • Experience supporting global mobility or cross-border assignments (U.S.–Mexico preferred)
  • Experience building or transitioning immigration programs from external counsel to internal teams
  • Familiarity with automotive or manufacturing industry environments

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage employment-based immigration cases, including H-1B, L-1, TN, PERM, I-140, and I-485 filings.
  • Coordinate extensions, amendments, and change-of-status filings while ensuring continuity of work authorization.
  • Track visa statuses, expiration dates, and green card progress; proactively identify and escalate risks.
  • Maintain compliant, audit-ready immigration files and support H-1B Public Access Files and I-9 audits.
  • Serve as a key contact for employees on immigration processes, timelines, and documentation.
  • Partner with HR, business leaders, and external counsel to support workforce needs.
  • Oversee the full green card processes, including PERM recruitment, prevailing wage coordination, and case tracking.
  • Monitor visa bulletin movement, priority dates, and long-term case strategy.
  • Standardize processes, develop SOPs, and ensure consistency across locations.
  • Generate reports for leadership on visa status, upcoming expirations, risks, and cost tracking.
