About The Position

As a Senior IAM Security Engineer, you will be a contributing member of the IAM Engineering team who will operate and engineer security solutions for Capital Group’s Identity Governance and Administration platform and utilize programming, operations, and engineering skills/training to provide a portfolio of security services for the enterprise. You will be responsible for all aspects of security solutions to safeguard access to CG systems, including software development and deployment, configuration for custom and packaged technologies, on-call support, and integrations with cloud and on-prem solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for security, identity in the cloud, and working with others. Support and enhance Capital Group’s Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) platform, SailPoint IdentityIQ, across on‑prem and cloud environments. Design and implement scalable integrations between Capital Group’s IGA platform and enterprise applications, ensuring secure and efficient identity lifecycle management. Lead a team of developers and junior engineers through the full software development lifecycle, providing technical direction, code review, and solution oversight for IGA initiatives. Prioritize and manage projects and operational workstreams aligned to IAM strategy and Capital Group enterprise needs. Apply strong software engineering and platform management practices to improve stability, reliability, and automation across IGA services. Operate within Agile methodologies, contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and continuous delivery improvements. Define, communicate, and execute the strategic roadmap for IGA, including modernization efforts such as Non-Human and AI-driven identity governance capabilities.

Requirements

  • You have 5+ years of experience delivering Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) solutions within large, complex enterprise environments.
  • You have experience leading technical engineering and operations teams, supporting Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions across both on‑premises and cloud platforms.
  • You possess proficiency in modern programming languages such as .NET, Python, or Java, with a strong understanding of object‑oriented design principles, patterns, and engineering best practices.
  • You have hands‑on experience designing, developing, and customizing identity governance solutions in SailPoint IdentityIQ.
  • You have strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and security platform solution‑design concepts, with a demonstrated passion for improving business processes and Global Technology user experience.
  • You have working knowledge of identity providers such as Okta, Azure Entra ID, or related technologies, and how they integrate into enterprise IAM ecosystems.
  • You have a foundational understanding of common attack vectors, threat behaviors, and network defense architectures, particularly as they relate to identity security.
  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non‑technical stakeholder groups and balance competing needs.
  • You have leadership experience, including guiding teams, influencing technical direction, and partnering with diverse teams across the organization.
