About The Position

We are looking for a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to join our Water Team to improve infrastructure in our Fort Worth office. The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering and five to fifteen years of related experience. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment.

Requirements

  • Seven to Fifteen years of experience
  • PE license
  • Hydraulic Modeling experience
  • Working knowledge of InfoWorks ICM and/or SWMM software
  • Excellent technical writing, organizational and communication skills
  • Individual must be self-motivated and able to work well with others

Responsibilities

  • Provide hydrologic and hydraulic technical support to the planning, design and construction on various wet weather projects that may include combined/sanitary sewer overflow, collection system, pump station, water, stormwater, green infrastructure, hydrologic and hydraulic models and/or other projects
  • Lead evaluations of collection systems and open channels with the use of hydrologic and hydraulic models
  • Manage tasks and projects when appropriate
  • Mentor/train staff in the use of hydrologic and hydraulic technical approaches and models
  • Perform and manage hydrologic/hydraulic model calibrations based on monitoring data
  • Develop flow monitoring programs and manage data analysis
  • Perform GIS analysis to support hydrologic and hydraulic model development
  • Prepare engineering calculations and supporting analysis of alternatives
  • Prepare and evaluate wet weather control alternatives
  • Develop and oversee the writing of technical reports and memorandums
  • Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks
  • Monitor task budget and progress
  • Conduct on-site inspections as needed
  • Prepare project status and other reports
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals
  • Assist Project Managers
  • Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.
