About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Senior HVAC Technician to join our team in Chantilly, VA. The candidate will be responsible for the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of numerous complex pieces of commercial facility equipment not limited to but including: Chillers, Pumps, Fan Coil Units, CRAC Units, VAV devices, Glycol systems, etc. The candidate will interact with other facility building personnel regarding Air Handling units, Cooling towers, Pumps, etc. The candidate should also have general knowledge of electrical systems as this position also requires the general oversight of other commercial electrical components inside the facility. Responsibilities include laying out, constructing, installing, and rebuilding refrigeration and year-round air conditioning equipment for plant facilities, performing work described in other maintenance classifications when incidental but necessary to the accomplishment of the assignment, and working from engineered drawings, sketches, verbal instructions, handbooks, etc., to accomplish required work. The candidate will read and interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, and/or schematics, visualize three-dimensional shapes from two-dimensional views, and understand symbols, flag notes, and general notes. They will also read and make control adjustments using typical testing equipment, install and adjust valve controls, perform electrical wiring and installation of special electronic controls, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and adjust all existing types of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, maintain necessary temperature and service records, lock out/tag out equipment and related systems, and observe and evaluate system operation using remote building monitoring systems.

Requirements

  • Adjudicated Counterintelligence Polygraph.
  • 1+ years' experience working as an HVAC Technician.
  • Capable of lifting 35lbs on a frequent basis.
  • Current valid driver's license.
  • Capable of passing fall protection training.

Nice To Haves

  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Technician Certification.
  • Industrial infrastructure experience.
  • Experience with industrial water chillers.
  • Experience working with a government and/or commercial customer.

Responsibilities
