About The Position

JLL is seeking a technically skilled and proactive HVAC Technician to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring the daily operational excellence of the client's site by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing critical HVAC, utility, and facility systems. The technician will be a key contributor to business objectives by demonstrating technical expertise in HVAC and multi-skilled abilities in electrical and plumbing trades. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of site systems, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for the client.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or state equivalent.
  • Universal CFC certification.
  • A valid trade license, completion of a registered apprenticeship, or equivalent trade experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in HVAC systems, including troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
  • Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to be on-call and respond to emergencies 24/7.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks, including working on lifts, scaffolds, and in various weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Familiarity with Trane and Vaisala control systems.
  • Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with general facility repairs, including sheetrock, patching, caulking, and painting.
  • Ability to estimate project costs and order necessary materials.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and adjust essential site systems, including HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, VAV systems, and emergency backup systems.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment, including pumps, motors, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
  • Install and repair piping, tubing, and plumbing systems, and perform general facility repairs such as sheetrock, painting, and lock repair.
  • Manage refrigerants in strict compliance with all State and EPA requirements, maintaining precise usage and inventory records.
  • Document all work performance and materials procurement accurately in our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Escort and oversee vendors, ensuring all assigned work is completed to standard.
  • Respond to after-hour service calls and emergencies to ensure facility uptime and safety.
