Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and electrical components.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documents.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills - the ability to identify and solve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a drug & background check.
  • Safety-first mindset – understanding and following all industry regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills – ability to work effectively with clients, project managers, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Performing advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
  • Leading service calls and responding to emergency maintenance requests, including on-call rotations and overtime work as needed.
  • Conducting preventative maintenance, system inspections, and performance testing to optimize efficiency.
  • Interpreting and working from electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents to ensure correct installation and repairs.
  • Ensuring compliance with MCI’s high standards for quality and safety, following industry best practices and regulatory codes.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor for customers, providing expert recommendations and building long-term relationships.
  • Training and mentoring junior technicians, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Collaborating with internal teams (engineering, sales, and project management) to identify solutions and support business development.
  • Completing all required documentation, including work orders, warranty claims, and service reports, with accuracy and attention to detail.
