About The Position

We are seeking a Senior HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer for a direct assignment in Cary, North Carolina. The selected candidate will work with a multi-discipline team to produce HVAC mechanical and plumbing systems concepts, fire protection design concepts and perform HVAC mechanical and plumbing calculations. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm This is a Direct Hire position This position can work a Hybrid schedule in Cary, NC

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 15+ years Mechanical Engineering and Design experience (HVAC, utilities, fire protection, plumbing and related mechanical building systems)
• 5+ years experience within Life Sciences
• Ability to lead a medium to large multinational team of designers and engineers
• Ability to collaborate with the client and construction team

Nice To Haves

• A Professional Engineer License (PE) is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to represent mechanical (HVAC and Plumbing) for pharmaceutical projects
• Oversee HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection
• Assess project requirements and oversee project design to completion
• Manage designers and budgeted hours
• Work with code officials and other design professionals when there is an interpretation or exception to design standards
• HVAC mechanical and plumbing calculations including load and energy / total cost of ownership analysis
• Coordinate with other disciplines towards a comprehensive and coordinated product
