This is a highly responsible, full-time professional position responsible for creating and maintaining a stand-alone county tobacco-free partnership to mobilize community partners to establish policies and systems change that will support long-term social norm change, to prevent initiation of tobacco use among youth and young adults, eliminate secondhand smoke exposure, and promote cessation from tobacco use. This position serves as a liaison between the Holmes CHD, headquarters, Bureau of Tobacco Free Florida (BTFF) staff, youth and adult organizations, tobacco-free partnerships, businesses, and other local agencies. This position requires the ability to work independently and to work with both youth and adults. Public speaking, coalition building and program development skills, management expertise, and a strong knowledge of state procurement and budget management are required. Marketing and public relations experience is preferred. The person in this position must also have a working knowledge of computers and word processing skills. This position requires travel and some weekend and evening hours. This is a tobacco-free position, and a background check will be required.
