Senior Human Resources Generalist

Description As a Senior Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of HR duties including aiding and facilitating the human resources process. Your role will be on a small team assisting all HR functions, including onboarding, offboarding, coordinating special events, employee relations and processing payroll. The role requires a strong understanding of human resources principles, interpersonal skills, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism. Your responsibilities will include: Responsible for ensuring onboarding paperwork is reviewed, completed and entered in the HRIS system. Responsible for intake of general inquiries and administrative tasks for human resources department via Human Resources email box. Process payroll and payroll data into the HRIS system, including but not limited to employee changes, new hires, terminations, hours, etc. Includes ordering various reports. Coordinates activities to promote Employee Engagement. This includes quarterly/monthly events. Handles various items, such as payments, receipts, order gifts for various activities, and orders various reports. Assists with maintaining and updating various forms of employee communications, including keeping current employee related forms and documents available online/HRIS. Assists in the identification of employee training needs through surveys, performance evaluations, and manager feedback. Includes assisting in the coordination and scheduling of internal and external training programs, webinars, and seminars. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2-4 years of experience in an HR generalist or HR-related role, preferably within the insurance industry or similar corporate environment. Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory requirements.
