Make a difference with us at WestLand! WestLand is adding a Senior Human Resources Coordinator to support our Pacific Northwest team! The Senior Human Resources Coordinator provides advanced administrative and operational support across the HR function. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely HR transactions, supporting recruiting and onboarding efforts, maintaining employee records, assisting with compliance initiatives, and serving as a key point of contact for HR-related inquiries. The Senior HR Coordinator exercises sound judgment, handles confidential information with discretion, and contributes to the improvement of HR processes and workflows. This is a hybrid position that requires approximately 15% travel to support other locations, meetings, and HR initiatives. This position will be based out of our Pacific Northwest offices (Gig Harbor, Mukilteo, Portland, or Mount Vernon).

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education in HR or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience
  • Familiarity with labor laws required; Pacific Northwest region knowledge preferred.
  • Experience supporting multi-state workforce preferred.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to responsive, employee-focused support.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR certification a plus.
  • Experience with systems including Vantagepoint, ADP, and recruiting platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as initial point of contact for employee HR inquiries, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
  • Help coordinate HR-related engagement activities, training sessions, and events.
  • Manage employee personnel records in accordance with recordkeeping requirements
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity, conduct regular audits, and generate reports as needed.
  • Manage and maintain HR trackers and databases, including training compliance, leave of absence, and employee status changes, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up.
  • Prepare routine and ad hoc HR reports and track HR metrics such as turnover, headcount and mandatory training.
  • Coordinate recruitment logistics, including interview scheduling, job postings, and initial applicant screening, as needed.
  • Prepare employee-related documentation such as Offer Letters, Status Change Forms, and other correspondence, as needed.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and applicable laws.
  • Serve as a liaison to communicate and support HR programs and updates from HR leadership.
  • Support special HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Mentor or provide guidance to HR Coordinators or administrative staff and assist with training new HR team members on systems and processes.
