About The Position

The Senior Human Resources Coordinator – Talent Acquisition will supervise the Benefits Eligible Talent Acquisition Team and oversee recruitment functions and processes for University Housing and Dining (UHD). Responsible for providing talent acquisition guidance to hiring managers and Human Resources (HR) staff on staff policies, regulations, and procedures on recruitment, compensation, and overall best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in a human resources function.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 or more years of experience supervising a team in a professional environment.
  • 3 or more years of experience in talent acquisition.
  • Experience using Workday and/or other ATS.
  • Talent acquisition and/or human resource experience in a university or public sector.
  • Proficiency using Excel and/or similar analytical tools.
  • Experience developing and executing recruitment strategies.
  • Experience advising managers on compliant hiring practices and policy interpretation.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with department leaders, hiring managers, and cross-functional HR teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining service-level expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees, coordinates, and ensures timely and accurate processing of customer requests received in talent acquisition, through the HR ticket system and University Housing and Dining HR office email, promptly responding, handling requests, or assigning to the appropriate party.
  • Reviews and approves Workday business processes, including recruiting, transfers, and hiring-related transactions.
  • Supports talent acquisition team in making recommendations to department hiring managers in reviewing job descriptions, application reviews, conducting interviews, verification of employment/references, compensation review, and post-offer hiring procedures.
  • Manages all recruitment activities for hiring new employees including approving appropriate selection documentation.
  • Oversees benefits-eligible talent acquisition team daily operations, including supervising, assigning work, evaluating, and providing feedback.
  • Communicates with managers, applicants, and team on daily operational decisions.
  • Supervises, manages, and monitors the workload of the talent acquisition team.
  • Works with leadership and campus partners to resolve problems and facilitate in the areas of talent acquisition.
  • Coordinates and strategizes with departmental leadership as an internal consultant by reviewing, and recommending department adherence to recruitment, selection policy, procedures, and regulatory compliance issues.
  • Assists the Associate Director of Talent Acquisition in monitoring, evaluating, and analyzing talent acquisition recruitment efforts.
  • In partnership with hiring managers and talent acquisition team, ensures that UHD is in compliance with all sourcing, recruiting, and hiring policies.
  • Attends various meetings discussing talent acquisition matters.
  • Monitors compliance with UT policies and guidelines.
  • Assists Associate Director of Talent Acquisition in staffing projections, recruitment strategies, market analysis, and compensation analysis.
  • Develops, maintains, and enhances internal vacancy trackers and centralized recruiting spreadsheets.
  • Builds and analyzes reports on various types of recruitment data and perform analysis for decision-making and tracking.
  • Creates and implements efficiencies that have a positive impact on candidates and customer service.
  • In partnership with the Associate Director of Talent Acquisition and Talent Acquisition Specialists, coordinates external job board postings and advertisements, plans recruitment initiatives for benefits-eligible hiring around the city of Austin and on campus.
  • Completes special projects, including disseminating information.
  • Works independently and as part of a team on nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
  • Serves as back-up to members of the talent acquisition and human resources team as needed.
  • Participates in recruitment activities when needed including interviewing, job fairs, and sourcing when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
