About The Position

We are hiring a Senior HSE Specialist for one of our client to support environmental, employee health, and safety work across multiple sites in Sweden. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and maintaining effective HSE practices to ensure compliance with organizational and governmental standards while reducing environmental and workplace risks. This is a part-time assignment (approx. 50%) with a combination of onsite presence, travel between sites, and some remote work within Sweden.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience within environmental, health, and safety (HSE) work
• Proven experience developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures
• Experience conducting accident and incident investigations
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance related to environmental and employee health & safety
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities across multiple locations
• Willingness and ability to travel between sites in Sweden
• Swedish citizenship Required
• Holds a valid SSG-Entré certificate
• Fluent English and Swedish language proficiency

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement environmental, health, and safety policies and practices
• Identify and mitigate hazardous conditions in the workplace and surrounding environments
• Investigate workplace accidents and environmental incidents
• Liaise with engineers, management, and health & safety authorities to identify root causes and prevent recurrence
• Provide guidance, training, and support on HSE protocols
• Conduct audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
• Maintain relationships with communities, environmental groups, and other relevant stakeholders
• Support continuous improvement of HSE performance across multiple sites
