About The Position

Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions (VWTS) is looking for an experienced Senior Human Resources Manager. Under the direction of the HR Business Partner of the North America segment of our Quality Monitoring and Lab Water Purification business, your primary focus will be Employee Relations and Integration Work for the Products & Technologies global business line of the Veolia Water Tech Zone. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week in the office. Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time is necessary. The Senior HR Manager drives engagement within a growing and dynamic environment. They influence managers and employees, and understand both broad business, and manufacturing and service specific challenges to enable a salary and an hourly workforce to meet business objectives. They act as a subject matter expert providing day-to-day guidance and direct support for functional areas such as employee relations, consultation/conflict resolution, policy interpretation and application, management consultation, talent acquisition, workforce data analysis, and performance appraisal training. This challenging role requires a high degree of emotional intelligence, critical thinking and decision-making skills to work with all levels of management and hourly staff to help create a safe, healthy, vibrant work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10+ years of HR Experience.
  • Strong North American employee relations experience.
  • Accustomed to working in a fast-paced, high-growth working environment.
  • Solid working knowledge of Federal and local laws for the US as they pertain to human resources administration, employee relations, and investigation compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and influence an hourly manufacturing population while providing a strong partnership with management.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, pharma, water, oil & gas, energy, or chemicals industries.

Responsibilities

  • Support the work related to the newly formed Quality Monitoring and Lab Water Purification team.
  • Guide the development and execution of workforce strategies in collaboration with the human resources team and operations' leadership.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business and participate in client activities to build knowledge of operational objectives and culture.
  • Look for new opportunities and solutions to deliver HR support in line with business goals.
  • Support workforce planning while monitoring trends such as turnover and time to fill.
  • Work closely with the Talent Acquisition shared service center and management to identify and remove barriers to filling positions.
  • Participate in the recruitment process, particularly for supervisor or managerial positions.
  • Leverage data to identify opportunities for improvement in key workforce areas.
  • Manage local employee relations including conflict resolution and providing counseling to managers and employees.
  • Coach, train, and guide managers regarding employee relations, policy and procedure interpretation, turnover, employee satisfaction, performance management, and legal issues.
  • Ensure that HR workflows support a shared service environment while leveraging the expertise of HR COEs.
  • Manage investigations for various issues including local government agency concerns and business practice complaints.
  • Identify appropriate options for senior leadership consideration and make recommendations as necessary.
