About The Position

The Senior HR Generalist at Jeremiah’s Italian Ice is a hands-on role responsible for independently managing day-to-day HR functions in support of our company-owned store operations and Support Center team. This role serves as the primary HR contact for 18 store locations and the Orlando-based Support Center, ensuring consistent HR support across a fast-paced, operations-driven environment. This position is heavily focused on HR execution, including employee relations, compliance, recruiting coordination, and HR administration. The ideal candidate is resourceful, responsive, and comfortable operating independently while managing multiple priorities. This is a full-time, Orlando-based position that requires flexibility in schedule, including occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requirements

3–6 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a multi-unit, retail, or food service environment.
Experience handling employee relations and supporting frontline managers.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Solid understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
High level of organization and attention to detail.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Hands-on, self-starter mentality with a proactive approach to work.
Ability to effectively prioritize and adapt to changing business needs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary and sole HR point of contact for 18 company-owned store locations and Support Center employees.
Partner with store managers and operations leadership to provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and HR best practices.
Respond to HR-related inquiries from field leadership in a timely and solutions-oriented manner.
Support staffing needs across locations, including coordination of recruiting and onboarding efforts.
Handle routine employee relations matters, including investigations, documentation, and corrective actions.
Exercise sound judgment in resolving employee concerns and escalating complex issues as needed.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
Maintain and update employee handbook, policies, and HR procedures.
Coordinate full-cycle recruiting support for store-level and Support Center roles.
Partner with hiring managers on candidate screening, interview scheduling, and hiring decisions.
Manage onboarding processes and new hire experience.
Support new hire orientation and ensure completion of required documentation.
Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
Support benefits administration, including employee questions and enrollment coordination.
Assist with payroll-related coordination, ensuring accuracy of employee data and communication with payroll partners.
Track HR metrics, documentation, and reporting as needed.
Prioritize and manage competing HR needs across multiple locations with minimal supervision.
Follow established HR processes and documentation to ensure consistency and continuity.
Partner with external vendors (e.g., legal counsel, benefits providers) as needed for guidance and support.
Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and recommend practical solutions.
