The Senior HR Generalist serves as a trusted advisor to Regional Leaders and teammates, providing guidance on employee relations, compliance, and HR operations. This role partners with leadership to align people strategies with business objectives, drive engagement, and ensure compliance with employment laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required. SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of HR experience in a generalist capacity, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have National or multi-state HR practice experience (including North East US)
  • Ability to travel up to 25–50% within the USA.

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Advise Regional Leaders and employees on policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and workplace issues.
  • Lead investigations and manage performance cases (coaching, counseling, improvement plans) with fairness and consistency.
  • Provide support with hiring, and guidance on promotions, and employment changes, balancing business needs with compliance.
  • Administer teammate leaves (FMLA, disability, LOA, WC) and ADA accommodations, Worker’s Compensation management, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Collaborate with legal and HR teams to maintain adherence to employment laws and ethical practices.
  • Partner with leadership to monitor morale and foster an inclusive, transparent culture.
  • Facilitate workshops and provide tools to build leadership capability and engagement.
  • Cascade clear communication on systems, workflows, and change initiatives.
  • Review People KPIs (retention, engagement, turnover) and develop action plans with leadership.
  • Identify workforce trends and provide insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Support HR lifecycle processes including hires, transfers, promotions, separations, and benefits administration.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on select recruitment activities.
  • Coordinate HR-related training programs and support annual performance review processes.
