As a Senior Human Resources Business Partner, you'll provide senior-level support to the HR Director, lead HR initiatives, support Workday HCM, update employee handbooks, ensure compliance, and provide training on HR topics. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources is required.
  • 5 - 8 years of previous experience in Human Resources is required.
  • A combination of previous experience and education will be considered.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification is preferred.
  • Workday HCM experience is preferred.
  • Microsoft Office experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience with Employment Law, Policies, Labor, and/or Employee Relations is preferred.
  • A valid state driver's license is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a non-profit or government contracting environment.
  • Familiarity with federal military installation access requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional and knowledgeable HR guidance to HR Partners and Managers.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Tessera's strategic goals.
  • Research, develop and recommend new approaches, policies and processes for continual improvements.
  • Create and conduct presentations, training, and workshops regarding HR functions and processes.
  • Communicate proactively with Home Office HR team members to promote transparency.
  • Investigate, document and respond to complex complaints and grievances.
  • Support HR Partners and Managers on writing job descriptions and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure recruitment methodologies and hiring practices follow government regulations.
  • Oversee Tessera's Department of Transportation CDL physical and drug screening requirements.
  • Assist with various reports such as EEO - 1 and Vets 4212 reporting.
  • Responsible for completion of annual Affirmative Action plans and certification.
