About The Position

Openly is seeking an HR Business Partner to enhance our People team and contribute to building an inclusive workplace culture. This role is strategic, focusing on aligning the organization with company values and culture, and will involve connecting with team members across the organization to impact career growth, performance, diversity and inclusion, engagement, and overall employee happiness. The HR Business Partner will work closely with leadership to develop integrated People plans, support performance management, and ensure that diversity and inclusion are prioritized across the organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, organizational development, or related fields.
  • Experience supporting an operational function, including call center employees.
  • Experience in insurance and/or a start-up is a plus.
  • Predictive Index certification preferred.
  • Ability to position self as credible, proactive, and a trusted thought-partner.
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced growth environment.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience managing a team is a plus.
  • Experience building processes and managing change in growth organizations.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State labor laws.

Responsibilities

  • Work with functional leadership to ensure alignment with company strategy, culture, and values.
  • Partner with leaders to create an integrated People plan that addresses current and future business needs.
  • Ensure that Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity are integral to the organization, not just an HR topic.
  • Support performance management and manage employee relations as necessary.
  • Structure the performance review process and train managers on providing feedback.
  • Participate in company-wide performance campaigns.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues in Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, HRIS, and Total Rewards to implement solutions.
  • Assess team and organizational development needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Challenge job descriptions and compensation mechanisms to ensure alignment with strategic importance.
  • Gather Learning & Development needs and collaborate with the L&D team to address them.
  • Measure and analyze engagement survey results to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Build and manage compensation structures with the Total Rewards team.
  • Analyze results and suggest improvements.
  • Manage HR projects and guide the HR team.
