About The Position

Our client is seeking a full-time Senior Housekeeper to oversee two private residences: a 4,000 sq. ft. single-floor apartment in Manhattan and a 6,000 sq. ft. multi-level home in Dutchess County. This is a live-out role requiring regular travel between both locations, with hotel accommodations provided during inclement weather. The position reports directly to the Estate Concierge and collaborates with other traveling household staff. This is more than a cleaning position—it’s a key role in supporting a kind, appreciative household that values consistency, care, and quiet excellence. The ideal candidate is steady, self-motivated, and deeply trustworthy. They bring pride to their work, uphold professional boundaries, and understand the unique satisfaction that comes from maintaining calm, orderly environments behind the scenes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a UHNW NYC household or similarly demanding private environment
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Proficient with luxury appliances, tools, and cleaning products
  • Calm, discreet, and emotionally intelligent
  • Strong work ethic with excellent judgment and a collaborative spirit
  • Able to work independently while remaining in sync with broader household operations
  • At least two days per week in Dutchess County; candidates must have their own car and a valid driver’s license

  • Comfortable with digital task tracking systems such as Asana (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain pristine, guest-ready interiors at all times
  • Execute daily and deep cleaning routines including sanitizing bathrooms, polishing, and kitchen upkeep
  • Handle fine garments and linens with expert care
  • Manage dry cleaning, wardrobe organization, and seasonal transitions
  • Track household inventory and restock as needed
  • Organize closets, storage areas, and pantries with efficiency and foresight
  • Act as the primary on-site liaison for household operations
  • Maintain clear communication with the Estate Concierge and proactively report any concerns or updates
  • Interface with vendors and service providers
  • Support occasional events, ensuring seamless execution for the principals and their guests
  • Oversee vendor access and household entry protocols
  • Manage alarm systems and uphold high safety standards throughout both properties
