About The Position

El Dorado Springs Behavioral Health, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Senior Housekeeper. This role is crucial in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and pleasant environment for patients, staff, and guests, contributing to the mission of making communities healthier. The hospital offers a full continuum of care, including inpatient psychiatric stabilization, medically assisted detox (MAT), Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) designed to support individuals experiencing acute mental health symptoms, substance use disorders, or co-occurring conditions in a safe, structured environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or combination of education and relevant work experience (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous housekeeping in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a clean, sanitary, and pleasant environment for patients, staff, and guests. Duties include dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, and removing trash.
  • Ensures toiletry and linen needs are replenished at all times.
  • Inventories and orders cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Works in conjunction with Plant Operations to maintain a safe, risk-free environment in accordance with OSHA regulations.
  • Performs routine cleaning tasks in patient rooms, offices, and public areas while maintaining a safe, risk-preventative environment in accordance with OSHA regulations.
  • Vacuums, dusts, mops, sweeps, and removes trash.
  • Cleans and disinfects designated areas.
  • Refills supplies (paper products, soap, etc.).
  • Ensures adequate linens are maintained in the hospital.
  • Reports any situations that may affect the health and well-being of patients or employees.
  • Ensures supply closets are kept clean and orderly.
  • Disposes of trash, waste, and other disposable materials in accordance with OSHA regulations.
  • Reports needed repairs immediately to supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets, missing nuts or screws, beds needing repair, etc.).
  • Submits patient personal belongings left behind to the nursing supervisor.
  • Follows policies and procedures for terminal cleaning of rooms.
  • Follows instructions for the use of germicidal solutions when cleaning.
  • Uses safety precautions in all housekeeping services.
  • Trains, coaches, and supervises housekeeping staff as assigned by the Director/Manager.
  • Reviews others’ work and provides oversight to ensure high-quality services and adherence to standards.
  • May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
