About The Position

About the Role The Senior Hospital Application Analyst develops and manages complex projects. Oversees the planning, development, implementation and support of hospital information systems. Supervises analyst/project staff. Develops testing strategies according to system build and downstream system requirements. Oversees and assists the hospital with the development of a training plan. Ensures that systems are implemented and functioning under the guidance of acceptable University policies and procedures and meet all regulatory requirements University Hospital is a dynamic, mission driven, at the heart of one of the region’s leading academic medical centers. Requirements

  • Business Administration, Liberal Arts, Science, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in information systems with preference given to candidates within a hospital environment.
  • Must complete certification on an Epic application specified by management within 6 months of training.
  • Ability to develop and manage complex project work plans.
  • Demonstrates interpersonal skills working in a service-oriented environment
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Capable of functioning in a team environment.
  • Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements.
  • Additional relevant experience, systems or clinical work may be substituted for information systems experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Epic experience is highly desirable.
  • Direct experience with electronic medical records is a plus.
  • Management or supervisory experience is preferred.
