About The Position

The Senior Hospital Applications Analyst of IST serves as a key administrative partner to the department. Develops and manages complex projects. Oversees the planning, development, implementation and support of hospital information systems. Supervises analyst/project staff. Develops testing strategies according to system build and downstream system requirements. Oversees and assists the hospital with the development of a training plan. Ensures that systems are implemented and functioning under the guidance of acceptable University policies and procedures and meet all regulatory requirements. Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree, with preference for Hospital Administration, a health-related discipline (Nursing, Pharmacy, etc.), Computer Science, Business Administration, Liberal Arts, Science, or related field
• Five (5) years of experience in information systems with preference given to candidates within a hospital environment
• Prior Epic experience is highly desirable
• Must complete certification on an Epic application specified by management within 6 months of training
• Ability to develop and manage complex project work plans
• Direct experience with electronic medical records is a plus
• Management or supervisory experience is preferred
• Demonstrates interpersonal skills working in a service-oriented environment
• Excellent oral and written skills; Capable of functioning in a team environment
• Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements
• Additional relevant experience, systems or clinical work may be substituted for information systems experience
