AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Highway Project Manager to join our North Florida (Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Pensacola, Lake City, Chipley) office.   • Manage project teams on conventional and unconventional projects.
  • Perform project functions of production coordination, planning, organizing, directing, controlling, financial management, and marketing assistance.
  • Mentor technical professionals to assist in their training and development.
  • Coordinate and participate in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
  • Draft complex professional service agreements and addenda for review by senior management.
  • Direct project team and client compliance with contract terms.
  • Monitor subcontractors' compliance with contractual commitments.
  • Prepare project work plan, scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Communicate project plans to team members and monitor compliance with schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Monitor reports and schedules to ensure appropriate charging of manhours, costs, and expenses to projects.
  • Communicate project progress/status to senior management.
  • Establish and maintain project account files on the computerized project management information system.
  • Review project reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor client billings and assist in obtaining payment from clients.
  • Resolve client disputes and adjust project billing records as required.
  • Monitor subconsultants' progress and performance.
  • Review and approve subconsultant and vendor invoices.
  • Resolve payment and project disputes.
  • Schedule and coordinate project meetings with the project team, regulatory agencies, and clients.
  • Report financial status of projects to technical managers.
  • Identify new business opportunities for the firm.
  • Coordinate and participate in project presentations to clients and other external groups.
  • Promote firm's capabilities and market its services among existing and prospective clients.
  • Participate in project opportunity evaluation, consultant selection, and preparation of firm's qualification/experience statements.
  • May supervise technical professionals, associate project managers, and design staff.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • FL PE license.
  • 10+ years of experience with at least 5 years' engineering experience after PE.
  • FDOT District 3 and Municipal experience required.
