About The Position

Information Technology Services (ITS) goal is to support Jewish Board’s programs and services through timely response and provision of technologies, applications, and customer-facing support in order for the agency to meet its operational and strategic objectives. As a support services division, ITS strives to be responsive to each user's needs and work to resolve issues in a timely manner. POSITION OVERVIEW: Senior Health Solutions Specialist is a senior expert in health technology dedicated to creating and implementing solutions that enhance patient care and operational effectiveness. This role plays a vital part in supporting health informatics by analyzing, optimizing, and maintaining health information systems. The Specialist is responsible for evaluating and improving processes within health information systems, focusing on Electronic Health Record (EHR) optimization, data integration, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Information Systems or analogous IT related training.
  • Analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities
  • Effective communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in health information systems and EHR applications , Advanced MSSQL skills , and knowledge of HL7.
  • Sustain the manual dexterity required to operate standard office equipment

Responsibilities

  • Solutions Development and Optimization: Analyze health information systems to identify areas for improvement in workflows, data accuracy, and functionality. Implement solutions to streamline workflows and develop recommendations for system enhancements.
  • EHR and Application Expertise: Ensure that EHR systems, data workflows, and health applications function efficiently and meet organizational needs. Provide advanced support for EHR systems, resolving complex issues, and implementing best practices for EHR usage.
  • Data Integration and Management: Assist in integrating data from various sources into health information systems, ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility. Maintain data integrity, quality, and security across systems.
  • Project Collaboration and Leadership: Work with the Director and other team members on health informatics projects. Contribute to project planning, system testing (including user acceptance testing or UAT), and deployment.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Support compliance with health information regulations, including state and federal requirements. Document system changes, workflows, and procedures to maintain comprehensive records.
