About The Position
Our client, a leading semiconductor client, is looking for a Senior Hardware Technician for Milpitas, CA. This role is responsible for deploying, maintaining, and optimizing high -performance computing (HPC) infrastructure, including compute, networking, and storage systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands -on experience in data center hardware deployment and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of server architecture, networking protocols, and storage systems.
- Familiarity with Linux OS and basic command -line operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform rack stack installation — mount servers, storage, and networking gear; manage cabling, labeling, and power distribution.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware issues across compute (CPU/GPU), networking (Ethernet/InfiniBand), and storage systems (RAID, SSD, and parallel file systems).
- Replace and configure failed components such as drives, switches, or processors.
- Conduct performance testing and ensure optimal data center operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system setups, hardware changes, and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaborate with engineers to support new deployments and system upgrades.
