As a Senior Hardware Technician, you will be involved in building cutting-edge hardware devices, working hands-on with tools, configuring various hardware components, and calibrating robotic systems to advance manufacturing. You will report to the Operations Manager and collaborate daily with deployment engineers on process improvement and design feedback. This role requires high adaptability to a changing business environment and support for various operational activities.

Requirements

  • Technical training/Trade School certification/ Associate degree in Engineering Tech/BS Engineering or related industry experience
  • Hands-on experience in assembly and troubleshooting of mechanical & electrical systems
  • 5+ years in industrial automation shop experience
  • Hands-on experience with FARO equipment (CMMs)
  • Knowledge of PLC (Ladder Logic) code structures
  • A knack for troubleshooting and analyzing
  • Personable, adaptable and have strong communication skills
  • A track record of strong documentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform cell calibrations utilizing FARO/Polyworks and RoboDK softwares
  • Link between Deployment Engineering and Operations Manufacturing groups
  • Provide first line troubleshooting and diagnosis of cells on the floor before and during FAT/deployment
  • Investigate PLC Code (Allen Bradley) during operation/bring-up of the cell
  • Assist Technical Writing team members by providing images and details for documentation creation around bring-up processes
  • Lead build & deployment of Path product
  • Assembly of mechanical & electrical systems
  • Light duty fabrication of test parts (cut/bend/drill/weld)
  • General facility requests and 5s
