About The Position

V2X is growing! V2X is looking for a Senior Hardware Quality Engineer to join our team! V2X is seeking a Senior Hardware Quality Engineer (HQE) at our Indianapolis, IN. The HQE will coordinate the activities required to meet quality standards and ensure products and services are fit for their intended purpose, meeting internal and external requirements and customer expectations. The HQE monitors and advises on the performance of the quality management system, producing data and reports on performance and measures against set standards, implementing corrective actions and charting paths for improvement. The HQE interacts with personnel at all levels, including customers, technical personnel, supplier quality and leadership to ensure that the quality system is functioning properly. Where appropriate, the HQE will advise on changes in their implementation and provide training, tools, and techniques to enable others to achieve enhanced quality. The HQE is responsible for the quality of work required by the contract. They will plan, organize, control, and execute quality tasks required under the contract, ensuring that work is completed in strict compliance with contractual provisions within a Quality Management System in accordance with the latest version of AS9001.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of applicable Quality Assurance/Engineering or related experience.
  • Flexibility to support multiple areas involving diverse technologies and processes.
  • Ability to support rapid-paced, dynamic programs.
  • Self-starter and quick learner comfortable in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong teaming skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with problem resolution and addressing challenging customer specifications.
  • Experience with consistent customer interaction.
  • Experience in Six Sigma and/or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with AS9001 Quality systems and audits.
  • Proven analytical skills in root-cause analysis, corrective/preventative actions.
  • Ability to lead and motivate others toward continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical expertise in military mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronic devices.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).
