About The Position

TTM is seeking a Senior Hardware Quality Engineer to performs quality assurance activities concerned with the design & development of products and internal processes. Performing quality assurance activities concerned with the engineering of products, materials and processes by performing the specific duties, experience and skills required of a Senior Quality Engineer. Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when necessary for work on a project that requires such a clearance.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of specialized PC software required by certain projects.
  • Familiarity with the PC and Microsoft Suite of software tools (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Sound knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, and AS9102 industry standards
  • Familiarity with standard electronic test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, meters, counters, frequency meters, logic analyzers, etc.
  • Must have a background that would permit the U.S. Department of Defense to issue a secret clearance when necessary for work on a project that requires such a clearance.
  • Familiarity of Root Cause Corrective Action methodology including use of Root Cause analysis tools such as 5 Whys and Fishbone analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university.
  • 3-8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performs final inspection and selloff, and witnesses testing.
  • Answers questions relating to standard practices and procedures.
  • Develops statements of work for subcontractors.
  • Prepares cost estimates for proposals, proposal sections, and program plans.
  • Participates in design reviews and formal customer reviews and audits.
  • Performs pre-award physical surveys of vendor facilities as a team member with other departments.
  • Reviews and approves purchase requisitions, purchase orders, manufacturing operation sheets, manufacturing orders, drawings, and test and calibration procedures.
  • Develops inspection instructions and inspection alerts.
  • Acts as a member of the engineering change board.
  • Chairs material review board and corrective action board.
  • Resolves minor issues between quality engineers and production control and methods personnel.
  • Witnesses environmental and operational testing.
  • Controls program budgets and develops estimates-to-complete.
  • Performs audits of procedures and special processes.
  • Develops and maintains statistical process controls.
  • Maintains procedures and records of activities performed.
