THE ROLE We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Hardware PCIe Engineer to join our Datastore team. You will be a key contributor to productizing Everpure's innovative, high-performance, and energy-efficient storage solutions. In this role, you will take ownership of the electrical design of PCIe interfaces for our SSD products and play a critical part in shaping the future of the data storage industry.

Requirements

  • PCIe Expertise: A strong background in high-speed electrical design, PCIe fundamentals, and PCIe debug, including experience with PCIe Gen5/Gen6 devices.
  • Hardware Design Experience: Expertise in hardware design and development, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection.
  • Proficiency in Testing and Simulation: You are proficient with PCIe test equipment (e.g., high-speed oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, BERTs) and have a strong understanding of signal integrity (SI) simulation tools and methodologies.
  • Technical Acumen: Proven experience in validating hardware at electrical, SI, protocol, and functional levels, with a track record of using scripting languages like Python and BASH to automate workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Electrical Design and Validation: Own the electrical design of PCIe interfaces for SSD products and lead the validation and debug of PCIe Gen5 and Gen6 devices.
  • Ensure Robust Performance: Conduct signal integrity (SI) simulations and collaborate with external partners on high-speed interface simulation, validation, and compliance activities.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Partner with internal teams, external vendors, and Joint Development Manufacturing (JDM) partners to troubleshoot hardware issues, lead failure analysis, and conduct root cause investigations to support field and customer escalations.
  • Leverage Automation: Use your scripting skills to leverage automation and AI to improve SSD design and validation workflows.
