About The Position

TAP is seeking to hire a Senior Hardware Engineer to join our team! The Senior Hardware Engineer will perform independent verification and validation (IV&V) of electronic components at the printed circuit board, chip, and wafer level. The Senior Hardware Engineer will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of hardware and software engineers to assess microelectronic component designs and manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI w/ full scope polygraph
• BS in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering (or related technical field)
• 7 years of experience
• Patient, detailed, and follows good safety practices
• Technical writing, communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

• MS or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related technical field)
• Experience troubleshooting electronic systems or electronic components
• Experience processing microelectronic components and semiconductor materials using techniques and systems including mechanical grinding and polishing, wet chemical processing, reactive plasma etching, thin film deposition, ion beam milling or sputtering
• Experience using optical microscopes or scanning electron microscopes for sample inspection
• Knowledge of electronic packaging, integrated circuits (ICs), failure analysis techniques, and semiconductor fabrication
