About The Position

We are seeking an energetic Hardware Engineer to support the development of a COTS‑based test‑system platform that emulates tactical equipment. What You Will Be Doing In this role you will design, assemble, and validate hardware using commercial off‑the-shelf modules while interfacing with a variety of aerospace and defense communications standards such as ARINC 429/664, CAN, RS‑232, and related signal families. You will generate and maintain accurate wiring diagrams, redline updates, and bill‑of‑materials revisions, collaborating closely with peer engineers. Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent technical field experience
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Experience designing and building hardware with commercial‑off‑the‑shelf (COTS) modules.
  • Familiarity with aerospace/defense interface standards such as ARINC 429/664, CAN, RS‑232, MIL‑STD‑1553, etc.
  • Ability to create and maintain wiring diagrams, redline updates, and bill‑of‑materials revisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading a small team or managing a technical project, coordinating tasks and schedules.
  • Proven ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders outside the department, building consensus and clear communication channels.
  • Strong presentation skills for briefings to senior leadership, customers, and government officials.
  • Familiarity with Cost Account Management (CAM) and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) processes, including budget tracking and reporting.
