About The Position

The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Hardware Architect to join the team in North Charleston, SC; Seattle, WA; Everett, WA; Hazelwood, MO; Berkeley, MO; Seal Beach, CA; Huntington Beach, CA; Dallas, TX or Mesa, AZ. We are looking for an experienced Personal Computer (PC) specialist to lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge client hardware systems. This role requires a strong architectural vision to ensure client hardware solutions meet stringent performance, reliability, and scalability goals. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent project management skills and experience managing vendor relationships to drive successful client hardware development and deployment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience supporting Windows operating systems (Windows 10/ Server 2012 or greater)
  • 5+ years of experience in a role requiring project scheduling/program management skills
  • 5+ years of experience in the technical management of suppliers/vendors
  • 5+ years of experience with computer hardware and architecture

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
  • Experience with analytics tools
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence/ eXtended Reality technologies
  • Experience with client networking technologies and Wi-Fi hardware
  • Experience with building relationships and partnering with all levels of employees, including executives
  • Experience with clear communication and time management in dynamic team environment

Responsibilities

  • Consult with the business on desktop computer hardware configurations and issues
  • Perform as a technical advisor to the organizational Business Liaisons and Business Success leaders on desktop computer hardware topics
  • Lead cross-functional hardware projects from concept through delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to complete hardware evaluations, address technical and delivery concerns, and manage delivery schedules
  • Utilize analytics tools to support hardware performance analysis and reporting (analytics experience desired but not required)
  • Analyze and document detailed technical specifications, identifying differences and ensuring compatibility across hardware platforms
  • Review and assess non-standard deviation requests, i.e. waivers, for desktop productivity software and desktop computer hardware
  • Maintain desktop hardware architecture artifacts (requirements, standards, catalog, etc.) and drive continuous improvement in hardware architecture practices
  • Support Shared/Group mailbox management, contribute to team website
