We are hiring immediately for a Senior HACCP Supervisor role. This location is part of our Prepared Foods Division and is a key member of the Plant FSQA team and has responsibility to work for and with the Manager of FSQA in leading the implementation and execution with on-going program management/oversight of key FSQA programs while working with the FSQA Supervisor and plant FSQA Technicians process audits/checks and tasks. These programs may include HACCP, HARPC, Global Food Safety Initiatives (SQF, BRC) Certification, Alchemy Training, Metrics/KPI's, Environmental, Foreign Material, Pest Control, Consumer Affairs, USDA, FDA, Tracking, Trending and other FSQA procedures. In accordance, this position will assist the Manager of FSQA in writing, reviewing, communicating, training, and implementing these and other key FSQA procedures, providing support for ongoing execution of them at the floor level. Provide guidance and leadership in situations where deviations have occurred or a potential risk has been identified related to food safety and/or quality attributes, stay current on FSIS and FDA regulations, including the Food Safety Modernization Act, facilitate and assist in development and management of GFSI certifications, including conducting pre-audits, internal auditing, develop and lead training systems for critical food safety and quality requirements, support plant facility and corporate FSQA as time allows and assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, Animal Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of food processing experience.
  • HACCP & HARPC certification preferred.
  • SQF practitioner certification preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office and LIMS.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of FDA and/or USDA inspected manufacturing facilities.
  • Comprehensive experience with FDA and/or USDA Rules and Regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and execution of key FSQA programs.
  • Work with the FSQA Supervisor and plant FSQA Technicians on process audits/checks and tasks.
  • Assist in writing, reviewing, communicating, training, and implementing FSQA procedures.
  • Provide guidance and leadership in food safety and quality situations.
  • Stay current on FSIS and FDA regulations.
  • Facilitate and assist in development and management of GFSI certifications.
  • Conduct pre-audits and internal auditing.
  • Develop and lead training systems for food safety and quality requirements.
