About The Position
The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is one of the largest charities in the DC area. The Y serves as an anchor in the community offering programs and services encompassing youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Location: YMCA - Sterling, VACompensation: $17.00 per hourSchedule: Part-Time | Afternoon/Evening Hours | School Year We are looking for passionate and dependable Senior Group Leaders to join our Pre-K / Kindergarten program at the YMCA Loudoun at Sterling Elementary. This role is focused on creating a positive environment for early learners while supporting and guiding other staff.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience with children ages 3–6 in a licensed or educational setting
- High school diploma or GED required; CDA or early childhood coursework strongly preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise engaging activities for Pre-K and Kindergarten students
- Design developmentally appropriate lesson plans and routines
- Provide mentorship and support to Group Leaders
- Communicate clearly with families and site leadership
- Monitor safety, attendance, and behavior
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children
