About The Position

The Senior Greenskeeper performs daily course set-up functions, including changing cups, and maintains turf through cultural practices like topdressing. This role is responsible for maintaining bunker areas, hauling materials, and removing debris using various machinery such as dump trucks, riding mowers, walk-behind mowers, chainsaws, tractors, trucks, and utility vehicles. Key tasks include mowing, trimming, edging grass, operating chainsaws for tree maintenance, installing new flowers, bulbs, grass, trees, and shrubs, and installing, maintaining, and operating irrigation systems. The Greenskeeper also monitors property grounds to ensure a pleasant appearance. Beyond technical tasks, the role requires serving as a role model, adhering to company and safety policies, reporting unsafe conditions, maintaining a professional appearance, ensuring quality standards, and fostering positive working relationships. • At least 2 years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily course set-up functions (e.g., changing cups).
• Maintain turf, including performing cultural practices (e.g., topdress).
• Maintain bunker areas.
• Haul materials and remove debris using dump trucks and other machinery.
• Mow grass using a riding or walk-behind mower.
• Trim and edge grass in areas that mowers cannot reach.
• Operate chainsaw to cut trees and/or tree limbs.
• Install new flowers, bulbs, grass, trees, and shrubs.
• Install, maintain, and operate irrigation systems.
• Operate tractors, trucks, or utility vehicles to transport equipment and supplies.
• Monitor property grounds to ensure a pleasant appearance.
• Serve as a role model.
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report defective equipment, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects).
• Removal of snow and maintenance of ice management (if applicable).
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
